We deliver kits throughout Cambridge, Cambridgeshire and UK.

We accommodate your needs whether you prefer home or clinic. Jeen Health ships kits throughout Cambridge, from the historic city centre to residential areas like Chesterton, Trumpington, Cherry Hinton and Newnham. If you’d rather not collect the sample yourself, you can visit our partner clinic near Addenbrooke’s Hospital for a professional draw, or even arrange a home visit by a nurse.
Our genetic counsellors help you understand NIPT’s scope and support you through the process
The test uses a maternal blood sample and poses no risk to the pregnancy
Our NIPT is a highly reliable screening tool, detecting the vast majority of cases of Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s syndromes. Remember, it’s a screening (not diagnostic) test, but by taking it early you gain valuable information without the wait of later scans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Need help with NIPT blood draws?

Jeen Health recognises that one size does not fit all, especially when it comes to giving a sample. That’s why we provide two convenient options for NIPT sample collection, empowering you to choose the method that best suits your situation:

‍Jeen Clinic Network (+£40): With clinics across the country, you can opt to have your blood drawn by a professional at a clinic for a £40 surcharge. This option is great if you prefer a traditional blood test setting. Our network spans 200+ collection points UK-wide (including nearby cities), so you can find a clinic convenient to you. At the clinic, a phlebotomist will take a quick blood sample from your arm and handle the rest. This in-clinic service is smooth and often takes only a few minutes.

‍Home Visit (+£65): For the ultimate convenience, choose a home visit. For an extra £65, a qualified nurse will come to your home (or workplace) at a scheduled time to perform the blood draw. This means you can complete your NIPT without stepping outside, perfect for those with busy schedules, limited mobility, or who just prefer privacy. The nurse will ensure the sample is properly collected and will take care of dispatching it to the lab. Many Cambridge clients appreciate this white-glove service for its comfort and ease.

Is NIPT offered through the NHS in Cambridge?

The NHS provides NIPT in limited circumstances. As of now, NHS Cambridgeshire follows national guidelines which offer NIPT mainly to expectant mothers who receive a higher-risk result on the conventional first trimester screening (the combined test) or have other specific risk factors. It’s not a blanket offering to all pregnant people on the NHS. Many families in Cambridge opt to go with a private NIPT (such as Jeen Health’s) either because they don’t meet NHS criteria, they want the test earlier, or they appreciate the added services like counselling and quicker results turnaround. By choosing Jeen Health’s private NIPT, you have control over the timing and get comprehensive support, rather than waiting to see if you qualify later in pregnancy for NHS testing.

Does NIPT test for the baby’s gender?

Yes, it can – but only if you want it to. The NIPT analyses sex chromosomes, which means it can determine the baby’s sex (boy or girl) with a very high degree of accuracy. When you sign up, we’ll ask if you’d like to know the sex.

If you say yes, the information will be included in your results report. If you’d rather keep it a surprise or not know, we will simply omit it. In either case, NIPT’s primary aim is health screening, so the choice about learning the gender is entirely up to you.

Is NIPT safe?

Yes – NIPT is non-invasive, with no risk of miscarriage to your pregnancy. The test is termed “non-invasive” because it does not involve any procedure that could harm the pregnancy. It typically uses a regular blood sample from the mother’s arm; there’s no risk of miscarriage or complications. It’s as safe as a standard blood test. Many women feel relief choosing NIPT because it provides information without any physical risk.

More about Jeen Pricing

Our package price includes the kit or clinic visit, counselling, lab processing and report. There are no hidden fees. You will be charged extra if you choose to have your sample collection in Cambridge organised by us.

Where can I get NIPT in Cambridge?

Jeen Health offers NIPT to all residents of Cambridge and the surrounding area. You don’t have to travel far at all – in fact, you can do it from home. We send NIPT kits to every corner of Cambridge, including areas like Chesterton, Arbury, Trumpington, Newnham, Cherry Hinton, and the City Centre. If you prefer to have your blood drawn by a professional, you can visit our partner clinic near Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

We even serve the broader Cambridgeshire region (towns like Ely, Huntingdon, etc.) through postal kits and our clinic network. So, whether you’re right in Cambridge or in a nearby town, you can “get NIPT” with ease at our clinic, or via home visit.
