Parents in Brighton & Hove can now access non‑invasive prenatal testing through Jeen Health. NIPT works by analysing tiny fragments of placental DNA circulating in the mother’s blood. Starting from around 9 weeks of pregnancy, this screening can check for certain chromosomal conditions with high sensitivity. Order your NIPT kit or book a counselling session today.

Why Choose Jeen for NIPT in Brighton

We deliver kits throughout Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.

Kits delivered across Brighton & Hove, including areas like City Centre, Hove, Kemptown and The Lanes. If you prefer an in‑person experience, visit our partner clinic near Brighton Station or book a convenient home nurse visit for your blood draw.
Every NIPT package comes with a pre‑test counselling session to discuss the benefits, limitations and any questions you have. Our experts help ensure NIPT is the right choice for you.
The test uses a maternal sample (blood from a vein) and poses no risk to you or your baby.
NIPT has very high detection rates (around 99% for Down’s syndrome) for the most common trisomies but it’s a screening (not diagnostic) test.
Results are typically available in 2–21 days, delivered through a secure digital portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Need help with NIPT blood draws?

In line with our flexible, prevention-first approach, Jeen Health offers multiple convenient options for how you provide your DNA sample for NIPT:

‍Jeen Clinic Network (+£40): For a traditional blood draw by a professional, you can visit one of our partner clinics. Jeen Health has a network of roughly 200+ collection points across the UK, so you can likely find one nearby. In clinic, a trained phlebotomist will take a small blood sample (quick and easy) and send it to our lab. This in-person option is convenient if you’d like a professional to handle the draw, and it incurs a modest additional fee of £40.

‍Home Visit (+£65): Want the convenience of a clinic-quality blood draw without leaving home? We offer home visits where a certified nurse comes to your address (home or work) to draw your blood. This white-glove service costs an additional £65, but many patients value the comfort and time saved. It’s a fantastic option for busy parents, those with limited mobility, or anyone who just prefers a one-on-one at home.

Can I find out my baby’s sex with NIPT?

Absolutely – if you’d like to know. As part of the analysis, NIPT can look at the sex chromosomes (X and Y). We offer fetal sex determination as an optional add-on. If you do want to learn the sex, we will include that in your results. If you prefer to keep it a surprise, we simply won’t report on it. The choice is yours.

Is NIPT available on the NHS?

The NHS currently provides NIPT (sometimes called the cfDNA test) in certain cases, primarily for high-risk pregnancies identified by the standard screening program. For example, if an NHS combined screening indicates a higher risk for Down’s syndrome, NIPT may be offered through NHS fetal medicine units.

However, NHS access is limited, it might not be available to everyone or you may have to meet specific criteria. Private NIPT services like Jeen Health’s are open to anyone. We offer a comprehensive package with counselling and fast results, which many families choose for peace of mind even if they’re not eligible for NHS NIPT.

Is NIPT safe?

Yes – NIPT is non-invasive, with no risk of miscarriage to your pregnancy. The test is termed “non-invasive” because it does not involve any procedure that could harm the pregnancy. It typically uses a regular blood sample from the mother’s arm; there’s no risk of miscarriage or complications. It’s as safe as a standard blood test. Many women feel relief choosing NIPT because it provides information without any physical risk.

More about Jeen Pricing

Our package price includes the kit or clinic visit, counselling, lab processing and report. There are no hidden fees. You will be charged extra if you choose to have your sample collection in Brighton organised by us.

Where can I get NIPT in Brighton?

Jeen Health’s NIPT is available throughout Brighton & Hove. We will send a kit to any postcode in the city, including central areas like the City Centre and The Lanes, as well as neighbourhoods such as Hove, Kemptown, Seven Dials, Preston Park and more. If you prefer not to self-collect your sample, you can visit our partner clinic near Brighton Station, or even arrange a home nurse visit. In short, you can take the test at home or in-clinic – whatever is easiest for you.
